Mr Gary Ashton, a resident of the Laura Fergusson Trust Home, in Ham Road, Christchurch, uses his wheelchair to carry the vacuum cleaner, while he cleans out his room yesterday. Mr Ashton is one of 24 residents at the home, which cares for people between the ages of 16 and 50. An open day to help raise money for the home will be held on Sunday between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
