Tomato rice

What you need: 150 g long grain rice 1 medium-sized onion ¥i tsp basil ¥2 cup grated cheese 500 g tomatoes salt and pepper 4 tbs butter What to do: 1. Boil rice in salted water according to instructions on packet. 2. Drain the rice. 3. Grease a small cake tin with a little of the butter. 4. Spread most of the rice into the dish, pressing it well down with the back of the spoon. 5. Peel the tomatoes and slice them thickly. Ar- : range over the rice.

6. Grate the onion, and sprinkle it over the rice and tomatoes. 7. Sprinkle a little salt and pepper and the basil over the top. 8. Spread the remaining rice on top, dot with butter and sprinkle with the grated cheese. 9. Bake at 200 deg C (400 deg F) 30 minutes.
