Queensland fertility
NZPA Sydney Queenslanders are more fertile than the average Australian — and that’s official. Statistics Bureau population projections for Queensland to the year 2021 show Queenslanders score better than the average Australian when it comes to successful reproduction. Queensland had higher numbers of live births per 1000 women than Australians generally in each of the 10 years to 1981, and the bureau said Queensland could double its population by the year 2021.
