Horses for Hong Kong?

Special correspondent Cambridge Jumping Jack Flash, Sure Can, Brilliant, and Tuna’s Mate which were all winners last season, are due to leave today and will do their future racing in Hong Kong. They have all been in the care of the Cambridge trainer, Laurie Laxon, while waiting for travel arrangements to be finalised. Sure Can, which won twice last season, is owned in Hong Kong, and Jumping Jack Flash has been sold to new owners there. Jumping Jack Flash scored a win and four placings in his little racing from Laxon’s stable last season. Brilliant, which was trained by Trevor McKee at Takanini, won twice last term and Tuna’s Mate, which was with Nigel Landers and Jim Melton, at Cambridge, scored two wins and four places from seven starts.
