Industrial gas container
A new type of container for the transport of industrial gases has been developed by A.G.A.-Cyro A. B. Gothenburg.
The company is a member of the Swedish-based A.G.A. 2, one of the largest pros of industrial gases. The container can be used for road haulage as well as for transport by sea or rail. It is a double-shell, vacuum-insulated container with a capacity of 18,200 litres of deeply refrigerated, non-flammable gases such as liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon. Placed on a 7 metre frame, it is easily demountable, allowing it to be shipped anywhere without intermediate unloading. This will represent considerable savings in time and money. Drivers do not have to accompany the containers on board ferries. Several of the new containers have been tested in Denmark, where operators have reported savings of up to 50 per cent.
