Drawings missing
Drawings, said to be valued at hundreds of thousands of dollars, by a British artist, Henry Moore, have been stolen from the home of a well-known Italian art critic. The theft of about 20 works appears to have happened while the critic, Carmine Benincasa, was on holiday. The drawings were not insured. They were shortly to have been shown at an exhibition in Rimini. An Italian museum recently refused to lend the exhibition paintings by a British artist, Francis Bacon, for security reasons.—Rome.
