The appointee, who will supervise a team of Product Managers, will carry responsibility for the planning and control of brand marketing and profitability of a wide range of prestigeous international brands, many of which are leaders in their NZ markets. There is scope for greater sophistication in the use of research . and economic data, in the development of marketing policies, and in the creation of brand advertising and promotion programmes. Extensive liaison will be required with overseas principals and with other senior group executives. The position calls for a widely experienced, professional marketing executive who has the presence and inclination for top level negotiation, who can function with a minimum of supervision, and who possesses potential for further promotion. A background in consumer products marketing is essential and age is flexible from the late twenties.
