Public Notices OXFORD COUNTY COUNCIL ADOPTION OF BUILDING BY-LAW NOTICE is hereby given that a resolution was passed by way of Special Order at a Special Meeting of the Oxford County Council, held on Monday, August 1, 1983, adopting the Council’s Building By-law No. 1 1983. THE EFFECT OF THIS RESOLUTION is to adopt as the Building By-law of the Oxford County Council the national building code of New Zealand, formerly declared under the Standards Act 1965 as: New Zealand Standard NZS 1900: the Model Building By-law. This Model By-law has been prepared and published by the Standards Association of New Zealand through representation and participation of interested parties. Details of the Standard Specifications to be adopted are set down in publication M.P. 101:1983, which constitutes Schedules 1, 11 and 111 to this By-law. Amendments to make the Model suitable for application in the Council’s area are set out in Schedule IV. All Standard Specifications have been, during their development, made available in draft form for comment by those affected. Drafts available are widely publicised, and listed In the monthly Journal “Standards,” available for inspection at the Council’s Offices. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this Resolution will be submitted for confirmation as required by Special Order Procedure at the next Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held on Monday, September 5,1983, at 10 a.m. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the full text of the formal Resolution, of the Standard Specifications to be adopted as.the By-law, and of the Schedules to the By-law, may be inspected at the Offices of the Council during normal office hours.
