A total of 2,926,584 shares was traded on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday, including 500,000 special sales. The total was 336,275 more than on Tuesday. Industrial shares totalled 1,869,584 (1,524,409 shares on Tuesday), and 1,057,000 mining and oil shares were traded (1,065,900 on Tuesday). A total of 160 issues was traded. The five most active issues were: NZ Oil Gas 176,400 Cue Energy 139,500 and opts 169,000 NZ Forest 112,300 Baitray 88,000 Carter Holt 62,700
