Martin Snedden captures five Essex wickets
NZPA staff correspondent Chelmsford The New Zealand medium-pacer, Martin Snedden, saw something akin to the light at the end of a long, dark tunnel yesterday as he took five for 68 against Essex. The five-wicket bag, by far Snedden’s most productive bowling of the Kiwis’ tour of England, was secured as Essex were dismissed for 233 in reply to New Zealand’s 321 for four declared. New Zealand now leads by 198 runs with six second innings wickets still intact.
