Attention on Bridgevale
Attention switched to Bridgevale on the mining and oil sector of the New Zealand Stock Exchange yesterday. The issue was the most active traded, gaming 5c to 27c. Oil issues were steady. Among the industrials, NZ Forest Products rose 5c ahead of going ex dwidend today, and Wattie was also firmer. However, market leaders appeared more P r0 I mme ? t T 1 T ? ; ,l he n fa included Fisher and Paykel, Fletcher Challenge, New Zealand Steel, and UEB. Capital Citj Radio dropped 5c after announcing a result below the forecast figure. Property issues were mixed. City Realties lost 12c and Robt Jones Investments 3c, but Landmark firmed 1c Smiths City Market preference shares stood out on a gain of 65c to 305 c. The NZUC industrial inde rose three points to 943.54.
