Prospects for thrill seekers
As the Industries Fair is the South Island’s biggest exhibition, many of New Zealand’s most expensive spectacular entertainment rides are brought across Cook Strait especially for this show. This year is no exception: Fair 83 has its wide range of thrill seeking attractions and amusements, some of them worth nearly a quarter of a million dollars each. It is only with an attendance of 130,000 people that it is economically possible for these rides to come to the South Island.
