N. Auckland’s easy win
PA Nelson North Auckland scored six tries in an easy 32-0 win over Nelson Bays in a noncompetition rugby match at Motueka yesterday. North Auckland turned on a vigorous second-half effort to score 28 points after leading only 4-0 at halftime.
In the first half North Auckland lacked cohesion but settled into a steady second-half rhythm running
almost every piece of possession it won. The former All Black winger, Fred Woodman, scored two tries although the pick of the North Auckland team was its half-back, Alan Goodhew, who passed and ran decisively. North Auckland: Fred Woodman (two), Murray
