Forestry scholarships
PA Auckland Mr J. M. Baineaves, a senior technical officer with the Forest Research Institute, Rangiora, and Dr K. L. Mackie, a scientist with the Forest Research Institute, Rotorua, have won David Henry scholarships of $5OOO each.
■ Mr Baineaves will attend and present papers at a conference at Nottingham University, Britain, and also investigate methods of evaluating the most effective way of controlling weeds in forests by aerial spraying.
