Charities in Canterbury have benefited by $12,500 from a distribution from the George Sevicke Jones Estate. Organisations to receive $1250 each from the estate were: Nazareth House, St John of God Hospital, at Halswell, Presbyterian
Social Services, South Island Methodist Children’s Home, Crippled Children .Society’s Canterbury branch; Mary Potter Hospice, The Clothes Shop, Christchuch City Mission, Salvation Army, Addington Social ServicesCentre, and St Vianney’s Home of Compassion, Timaru.
