Concerts to aid trip
Marie Efford, aged 16, of Whangarei, gave a concert at the Ham School of Music yesterday to raise funds for a trip to the Coupe Mondiale world accordian championship being held in Linz, Austria, in September. Marie won the New Zealand solo accordian championship earlier this year and was chosen by the New Zealand Accordian Association to represent her country at the world championship. She is performing fund-raising concerts throughout New Zealand before her departure.
