Fans’ vandalism
A Soviet newspaper has reported widespread vandalism on electric trains serving Moscow suburbs and urged passengers to do more to stop hooligans smashing up camages. The newspaper, “Komsomolskaya Pravda,” organ of the Communist Youth League, blamed soccer and other sports fans for most of the vandalism, saying the train carriage walls were “nothing but masterpieces of painting on the theme of favourite teams and clubs.” The newspaper also reported that “radio- fans” had taken nearly 3000 loudspeakers and other audio equipment from the trains. — Moscow.
