Death of child
PA Auckland A small boy whose head became trapped between a foam mattress and a bunk rail, died in Auckland Hospital’s intensive-care unit on Wednesday. He was Dwayne Karl Rayner, aged 2¥2, of Point England. He had been eating a bread crust in his bunk and was found a few minutes later with his head trapped. Ambulancemen resuscitated the boy, but he died several hours later in hospital.
