Hagley hits roll target

Hagley High School has reached its enrolment target of 150 third formers for next year. The school has had open enrolment for the first time this year and was set a third form intake of 150 by the Education. Department. Although the school has reached the total, the principal, Miss Ros Heinz, said yesterday that Hagley was still taking enrolments as some of those enrolled would be in the work experience unit, which was not included in the school’s general roll.

Parents of pupils interested in attending Hagley should still approach the school, she said. The school will close its enrolments on July 29, with other State schools. Because of its open policy, enrolment at the inner-city school began two weeks earlier than others. ■ Miss Heinz said the school was very pleased with the response.
