Work resumes at Burt’s

Production resumed at A. and T. Burt, Ltd, in Woolston at 12.30 p.m. yesterday. About 80 production and trades workers had been on strike since Monday in supEort of 12 engineer who ave been told that they are redundant. A union spokesman said that work had resumed so that talks on the dispute, involving levels of redundancy pay, could get under way. The talks began yesterday.
