Car advertising
Sir,—Lloyd Habgood (July 6) may adore the images of women, but we women are tired of being images or objects. We are people, not things to be bought, sold or adored. As for turning off the television, the media has long bleated that it merely reflects society, that it does not influence or mould it. If this were true there would be no advertising industry. — Yours, etc., N. A. BRIGGS. July 6, 1983.
