Coronet Peak. — Base 100 cm; last fall 13cm July 1; Rocky Gully T-bar and Blue Gum poma operating; ski school and canteen open; chains required. Tasman Glacier. — Last fall 20cm July 1; powder snow; ski planes operating; cross-country ski-ing also available. . Mount Dobson. — Base of 40cm; last fall July 1; main tow and learners’ platter operating; main runs groomed; chains required. Harris Mountains heli-ski. — Base 150 cm; surface snow dry powder, helicopter operating. Ben Ohau. — Base of 200 cm;

Mount Cheeseman. — 1 metre wind-packed powder snow; good ski-ing over whole mountain; open daily from Saturday, chains essential. Mount Robert. — Open Saturday to Monday; main,' bottom and learners’ tows only. The Rainbow ski-field has yet to open.
