Firm to assemble cars
NZPA-Reuter Tokyo Motor Industries (International), Ltd, of Auckland, will begin assembling 1000 cu cm Japanese cars next September on a knock-down basis with main parts supplied by Daihatsu Motor Company, Ltd, said
Daihatsu. Daihatsu, affiliated to Japan’s largest car maker, Toyota Motor Corporation, said that its New Zealand distributor, Daihatsu New Zealand, Ltd, had signed a contract for production of about 100 cars a month.
