Canty wins
Canterbury retained the I. R. Roberts Challenge trophy against Otago in an interprovincial wrestling contest yesterday. The trophy was decided on the last match between K. McLaughlan who beat A. Rolton.
Results, with Canterbury names first, were:—
10 to 13 years: S. Hammond lost to S. Dowling, fall first round. 14 to 16 years: P. Gread lost to C. O’Brien, on points; B. Hunter beat P. Wills, fall first round. Juniors: D. Mangnall beat P. Wolfenbutte, on points; C. Richardson lost to S. Wilson, on points; G. Petrie beat M. Isaac, fall second round; K. McLaughlan beat A. Rolton, fall second round.
