No tennis tie coverage
PA Wellington New Zealand’s Davis Cup quarter-final clash with Sweden in Eastbourne on England’s south coast next month will not be shown in New Zealand, said television’s head of sport, Keith McEwen, yesterday.
He said TVNZ had been unable to arrange cover because the tie has no interest for either of the main British television organisations, the BBC and ITV. Sweden and New Zealand considered mounting their own cover but the costs were prohibitive.
