Waiting for the decision of the judges in a junior dog handling contest at McLeans Island yesterday are Christine Burns, aged 14, with her boxer, Jane, and Angela Falconer, aged 13, with her 18-month-old Maltese terrier, Babba. Twenty-five children paraded their dogs in the event, held by the Southern Gun Dog Society. The over-all winner was Francine Bencich, of Nelson, with her poodle, Bachon Sweet Sensation.
