AAP Melbourne The Ballarat trained filly, Jasmarilla, became the fastest two-year-old pacer in Australia and New Zealand at Moonee Valley on Friday evening. In a special time trial over one mile, Jasmarilla paced the distance in Imin 57.35. Jasmarilla’s time bettered the previous record held by Mr Karamea by 1.3 s and was almost - three seconds faster than the former best time over a mile run by a two-year-old filly. Last week at Moonee Valley she won her sixth race from as many starts, taking out the two-year-old filly division of the Victoria Sires Stakes.
