Plane arrests
NZPA San Francisco Three men have been arrested on suspicion of conspiring to buy seven Hercules transport planes from Australia for the Libyan Government.
The office of the United States Attorney in San Francisco said that the
three had appeared in Court where they were accused of violating the Munitions Control Act, which bars the unauthorised export of United States-made arms and explosives. The maximum penalty under the act is eight years in prison.
