Snowfalls affect roads
Snowfalls during Wednesday night affected roads in North Canterbury and inland Canterbury yesterday. The Automobile Association (Canterbury) urged motorists to take care on the Weka Pass, and on State
highway I at Greta Valley and on the Omihi Saddle. Conditions were also treacherous on State highway 73 at Porters Pass, but all the affected roads were reported to be safe and clear by last evening.
