Lessons from French freeze
In June, 1982, the Socialist Government of President Mitterrand introduced a four-month prices and wages freeze. A further programme of economic austerity measures was imposed in March of this year. In a talk on the radio Concert programme at 9.40 tonight, Dr Alan Clark will look at what lessons or warnings the French experience could hold for New Zealand.
