Capital pool complex

PA Wellington Wellington will get an $8 million swimming complex of Commonwealth Games competition standard. The project received approval when the Wellington Regional Council reversed two earlier decisions and voted to contribute $3

million. The Wellington City Council will pay the rest. The complex will have a 50m pool, 10m diving pool, pools for toddlers and learners, and saunas.

The complex will be built in Kilbirnie. Work is expected to start later this year.
