The Marist prop, Tala Kele, was suspended for three weeks when he appeared before the Canterbury Rugby Union’s judicial committee on Tuesday night. Kele was ordered off last Saturday for kicking an opponent on the ground in a senior match. The suspension also bars

Kele from taking part in any colts trials or matches. Two senior B players ordered off last Saturday, both for offences involving misuse of the boot, were stood down for three weeks. They are G. O’Malley (Suburbs) and R. Lucinsky (High School Old Boys).
