Radio Pacific seeks listing

PA Auckland Radio Pacific has applied to the Broadcasting Tribunal to amend its Articles of Association so it could seek stock exchange listing, the directors announced yesterday. A hearing date of August 1 had been set and if the application was successful Radio Pacific would make an immediate application for listing.

The directors also said that the company had shown a profit of $74,832 in the year to March 31 — a sharp turnaround from the loss of $317,671 in 1982. Because of previous losses no tax is payable and dividend is being passed. Gross income for the year fell 4.1 per cent at $1,397,474 but total, expenses were reduced 25.5 per cent to $1,322,642.
