Maize sale to China
PA Wellington Dalgety New Zealand, Ltd, has sold $3.5 million worth of maize to China. This is the first shipment of maize to China, ' and virtually the entire shipment is made up of maize contracted with growers by Dalgety in the . Bay of Plenty. The shipment of 16,000 to 16,500 tonnes — the largest by a single New Zealand exporter — will be loaded at Mount Maunganui between June 13 and June 19.
