Japanese Jaycees’ thanks

Sir,—On behalf of the Japanese delegates to the Asian Pacific Regional Conference of Jaycee International, I would like to thank the people of Christchurch for the overwhelming reception given to over 300 Japanese delegates at the home hospitality evening held last Sunday. Many friends were made and the fellowship was exceptional. I was very proud that so many Christchurch citizens went to a great deal of trouble to host our members. I am sure that relations and understanding between Japan and New Zealand will be greatly improved as a direct result of a very pleasant evening. Christchurch is a beautiful city, your facilities are first class, but more important, you have beautiful friendly people. Thanks to the people of Christchurch.—Yours, etc. KAZUHIKO ENEMOTO, President, Japan Junior Chamber, Inc. May 31, 1983.
