Nuclear tests to continue
NZPA : Reuter Paris France’s Defence Minister, Mr Charles Hemu, has said that France will continue nuclear testing at the Pacific atoll of Mururoa. “France must continue its
tests,” Mr Hemu said in a French radio interview. “I would like to recall that Mururoa is 1800 to 2000 kilometres from the closest inhabited point. France is taking all the necessary precautions.”
