We’re glad y® u asked! Rom Raimer Ml;. "SO] R.S. PALMER (S.L) FUNERAL SERVICES 6 Brookby Cres, Christchurch 4. F’ 'W Phone 585-480 IS CREMATION PREFERABLE TO BURIAL? The decision should be made long before death, preferably when discussing funeral pre-arrangements with your family or next of kin. There is an increasing demand for cremation and economically it would be advantageous in that there are no ongoing costs, especially if the ashes can be scattered, perhaps in an area that had some particular appeal for the deceased. However, if religious beliefs or personal desire is for burial then so be it, that is your prerogative. Full information can be freely discussed with our funeral directing staff. Because we feel that this question may be of value to many residents in- the area we serve, we're glad you asked. We welcome your questions and comments on this and other subjects — in private or publicly through this column. a new concept in funeral service
