Wrestling competition
Wrestlers from Otago, South Canterbury, Canterbury and North Canterbury, willl compete in the South Island Olympic-style championships at the Rangiora High School tomorrow. A member of the New Zealand Games team in 1981, Steve Wylie, of Otago, should prove a slippery customer for two leading Canterbury senior wrestlers, Brent Ellerm and Ivan
Tuuta. Ellerm went to the United States earlier this year with a New Zealand cultural exchange team, and Tuuta is among the most experienced wrestlers in the country. Five grades will be contested—under 10, 10 to 13 years, 14 to 16 years, junior (17 to 20 years) and senior—with about 100 competitors likely over all.
