Manager for shearers

PA Dunedin Central Otago shearer, Mr Jim Kennan, has been named manager of the New Zealand shearing team to contest a two-test series against Australia late this year and early next year. The first test will be at

the Australian shearing championships at Euroa, in October, and the second will be at Masterton, in March. The four shearers in the team are: Peter Lyons, of Pleasant Point (captain), Adrian Cox, of Timaru, Alan Donaldson, of Taumarunui, and Ric Pivac, of Carterton.
