Eagle in junior golf
Sharon Bilton, aged 16, a member of the leading Coringa team, provided the highlight of the Canterbury junior interclub golf competition at Waimairi Beach on Monday. She scored an eagle on the par-4 thirteenth, hitting a 5iron into the hole on a green which had been damaged by vandals. With three rounds remaining, Coringa leads the championship on eight and a half points, a half point ahead of noth Christchurch and Templeton.
