Swimmer dies
Buster Crabbe, an Olympic champion swimmer who found fresh fame in a film and television career portraying super-heroes Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers, has died at his home of a heart attack, his family announced. He was 75. Born Clarence Linden Crabbe, he appeared in more than 175 films — conquering space before there were any astronauts as the title character in the two highly successful film series, Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers. He also played Tarzan in one of 11 the film series.— Scottsdale.
