Carpenters get notice

PA Dunedin Fletcher Development and Construction has given notice to 14 tradesmen carpenters and four builders’ labourers in Dunedin.

The men are employed on the Dunedin Hospital Ward block and the extensions to the Dental School, both of which are nearing completion.

Earlier in Dunedin, another big construction firm, Angus Construction, Ltd, gave notice to its staff of 34, including 14 tradesmen carpenters, five apprentices, and six builders’ labourers.
