ADAMS, Edith Cavell (Edie), of 73 Kings Road, Lelthfield Beach — On April 22, 1983, at Christchurch, dearly loved wife of Eric, loved mother and mother-in-law of Graham and Jackie (Walroa), and Bruce (Christchurch), and loved nana of Hayley, Louise, Bronwyn, and Giselle; aged 63 years. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society of New Zealand may be made at the service. The Funeral service will be held in our Ferry Park Chapel, 297 Ferry Road, This Day (Tuesday), at 1 p.m., private cremation thereafter. J. Lamb and Son, Ltd. AITKEN, James Alexander — On April 24, 1983, loved brother of Grace Maxwell (Christchurch), George and Alex (Auckland), and loved brother-in-law of Elma and Lance McCaskill.

ANDERSON, Edith A. — On April 23, 1983, at Christchurch, loved wife of the late John W. Anderson, and mother of Michael (Germany); in her 72nd year. Funeral details later.

BETTRIDGE, Evelyn Mary Grant, of 20 Weaver Place, Sockburn - On April 25,1983, at Christchurch, dearly loved wife of the late Walter George, beloved mother and mother-in-law of Rosalie and Murray Gwynne, and Lorraine and Reg Burge, and a much loved gran; in her 77th year. Messages to 11 Mirfleld Place, Avonhead. In lieu of flowers, donations to the National Heart Foundation, P.O. Box 696 Christchurch, or made at the church, would be appreciated. Will be sadly missed.
