Nova taken over by Intertasman
PA Wellington In what is virtually a reverse takeover, the fastexpanding Intertasman (NZ) Group, has acquired the Nova Group — one of New Zealand’s leading international furniture manufacturing design groups. This adds six companies to the Intertasman Group and puts it into the multimillion dollar trading category. The six companies are involved in import-export, furniture manufacturing and retailing, design contracting and outfitting of office buildings, hotels and resi-
dences, locally and overseas. Nova Group began business in 1966 as Nova Interiors, Ltd, and has since achieved the position of market leader in commercial furniture and interior contracting in New Zealand. In addition it has successfully completed contracts in 11 foreign countries. The founder of Nova Group, Mr T. R. Reesby, of Wellington, has been appointed chairman of the board of directors. The directors of Intertasman advise of a very satisfactory profit growth pattern in the acquired group.
