PA Wellington The Address-in-Reply debate would continue next week, said the Leader of the House, Mr Thomson, when Parliament sat at 9.30 a.m. yesterday; Private members’ notices of motion would be discussed on Wednesday afternoon and local bills on Thursday afternoon. Mr G. B. Braybrooke (Lab., Napier) gave notice of his intention to bring in the Vietnam War Veterans Health Investigation Bill. Members gave seven other notices of motion. Ministers answered 18 questions.
The Minister of Agriculture, Mr Maclntyre, introduced the Berry Fruit Levy Amendment Bill, which was referred to the Lands and Agriculture Select Committee.
Mr D. M. J. Jones (Nat., Helensville) reported from the Statutes Revision Committee that it had decided hot to proceed with a request to examine the wageprice freeze regulations.
Debate on . the introduction of the Water and Soil Conservation Amendment Bill, a private measure by Dr M. J. Cullen (Lab., St Kilda), was interrupted by the adjournment at 1 p.m.
