Here, 16 specially equipped B-52G bombers each loaded With 12 missiles mounted beneath their wings, stand prepared for instant retaliation in the event of an enemy nuclear attack. Airmen are loading pods containing the cruise missiles under the wing of one of the B-52G bombers.
