Collett out
PA Dunedin Jim Collett was suspended up to and including next Saturday for careless riding at the Beaumont Jockey Club’s meeting on Saturday. Collett’s suspension related to incidents over the concluding stages ,of the Edie Handicap, when his mount, Silver Guard, which was first past the winning post, shifted in and crowded Acco (fifth), Lynvari (third) and Lochindal (second). The last two were crowded on a second occasion. The judicial committee found that the chances of Lynvari, and, to a lesser extent, Lochindal, had been affected and . put Silver Guard back to third. Lochindal was promoted .to first and Lynvari to ’second.
