Rise in lamb payments
PA Wellington The Meat Board said yesterday that for the week from Monday lamb payments in all regions are increased 2c a kilogram for YL and YM grades, increased 1c for A, CIL, CIM, and C2 grades, and reduced 1c for PL, OL, PX, PH, and PHH grades. PM. F, and M grades are unchanged, as are mutton and hogget payments. Producer payments for all other categories of stock are unchanged. Lambskin and sheepskin are also unchanged. The P.P.C.S. cattle schedule for next week will have increases above the announced schedule to the following grades: P grade steer, heifer, and cow, up 5c a kilogram; G grade and L grade steer and heifer, up 3c; and G grade cow. up 3c.
