Cuthbert’s Green
Sir,—When is the City Council going to put water on Cuthbert's Green — before it becomes Cuthbert’s Brown? The Council seems to have plenty to put on the grass adjacent to Cowles Stadium on Pages Road. If cost is a problem the Council could use a small amount from the $250,000 it proposes to spend on Porritt Park.—Yours, etc., D. J. HARVEY. February 15, 1983.
[Mr J. H. Gray, General’ Manager and Town Clerk, replies: “While the provision of a watering system at Cuthberts Green is desirable, this is just one of a number of aspects that need to be considered for the further
development and upgrading of the playing fields. A meeting is to be held soon between the sports clubs concerned and the Parks and Recreation Department to discuss proposals for the area."]
