Cyclone cost
NZPA Suva Damage caused by Cyclone Oscar could cost Fiji up to sFijiBo million ($122 million), the Prime Minister, Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara, said yesterday. The cost of rebuilding schools would be about $2 million ($3.06 million). But the total could go much higher when detailed reports came in from outer islands such as the Yasawas, he said. Meanwhile 20 New Zealand soldiers spent yesterday airlifting supplies to homeless victims of Oscar in the Lautoka area in the west of the country.
